DENIM explores and explodes the fantasies we tell about American classlessness by weaving through the history of denim jeans.
Jeans were created as a sturdy work uniform for gold miners during the CA gold rush by Levi Strauss and have since become both completely ubiquitous and a universal and international symbol for America. DENIM pulls at the threads of American history to see what unravels and what holds strong.
