This play blends one act absurdist plays — Fernando Arrabal’s Picnic on the Battlefield (1961) and Slawomir Mrozek’s Enchanted Night (1952) — into one slapstick-funny and dead-serious narrative, with unique connections between the characters in both pieces.

Lisa Channer and co-director Vladimir Rovinsky continually push the action to stranger territory…Something outside the typical theatrical comfort zone.
— Ed Hyuck, City Pages
Directors Rovinsky and Channer and their talented ensemble of actors take something that could have been just a surreal exercise or mind game and serve up a production that really socks you in the gut. It’s one of those experiences that one cant adequately put into words…like all great theatre. Very highly recommend.
